The Minuteman Fund of Washington is dedicated to helping eliminate financial distress for Washington National Guard members and their families. The Minuteman Fund of Washington awards emergency assistance grants to guard members that find themselves currently facing financial hardship. The citizen-soldiers and airmen of the Washington National Guard, are dedicated to safeguarding lives and property in Washington State; as well as overseas. The more than 8,000 members come from a wide diversity of communities, professions, and backgrounds. They’re your neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family members. Whether it’s due to an injury, unexpected disaster, or unforeseen medical expense, financial emergencies can challenge even the strongest and the most prepared. Sometimes, Guard Members can find themselves needing help to pay their rent or utilities; fix a vehicle so they can get to work, or provide food for their family. While our grants are not for the general welfare, we are able to help avoid some temporary emergency hardships. The Minuteman Fund of Washington’s impact on Washington families is immeasurable. The grants that we award often prevent privation and homelessness. This is our 30th year of operation, and thanks to the generosity of our donors, we’ve given more than $700 thousand dollars in emergency assistance to over 1,500 Washington National Guard members & their families. But the need is still greater than ever. By giving a contribution or payroll deduction, you can provide hope for Washington National Guard members that find themselves currently facing hardship. You can make a difference in the lives of so many people, right here in Washington State. Help us meet the emergency financial needs of our citizen soldiers and airmen. Please donate to our cause today. Thank you.
